The Number 0: Properties and Meanings

Zero, Nothingness, Naught. Purusha the objective consciousness could be considered as zero whilst Prakriti the unconscious primordial matter could be considered as 1 and the rest of the number system as symbolized by Mount Meru/Pascals Triangle.

Pingala used the Sanskrit word sunya explicitly to refer to zero.

The Year 0 AD

Year zero does not exist in the Anno Domini system usually used to number years in the Gregorian calendar and in its predecessor, the Julian calendar. In this system, the year 1 BC is followed by AD 1.
